GREENSBURG, Pa. - Aug. 5, 2019 - Youngwood, PA – Youngwood Dog Club is proud to announce it is now officially a public charity with tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code. Contributions donated to Youngwood Dog Club are fully tax-deductible. Youngwood Dog Club is also now eligible to apply for government and foundation grants, which will further broaden its access to resources and strengthen its ability to serve Western Pennsylvania.
"Obtaining 501(c)(3) status is a major milestone for Youngwood Dog Club," remarked Vice President and Co-founder William L. Cowherd. "This opens many doors for us to expand fundraising activities and fully realize our goals as a charitable service organization invested in improving canine life and supporting local animal shelters in Westmoreland county."

· THE MISSION OF THE YDC
The Youngwood Dog Club mission is comprised of four parts:
(a) Promote fellowship amongst people who are passionate about dogs and promote responsible dog ownership
(b) Provide education for the public regarding issues that impact the health and welfare of dogs
(c) Provide financial support to local entities, and help improve and promote Westmoreland County as a more dog friendly place
(d) Provide financial support to local rescue shelters
