CAG K9s Fighting Narcotics & Weapons in Georgia

SUWANEE, Ga. - Aug. 4, 2019 - CAG K9s Fighting Narcotics & Weapons in Georgia

Suwanee, GA CAG K9 announced today that they are now providing United States Police Canine Association nationally certified K9 teams in Georgia as a private company. These highly trained and specialized K9s are trained to locate weapons and narcotics for a wide range of private customers before they are used.

Rich Adams, founder of CAG K9 worked in the field of corrections for over 25 years and wanted to find a way to help fight opioid addiction before people offend and it ruins the lives of more of our youth, family, and friends.

CAG K9 is a private company offering some of the most highly trained weapons and narcotics detection K9s in the world to serve in schools, businesses, public events, security support, treatment centers, and even most interestingly, private residences. Their K9s are hand selected in Europe and are then extensively trained in the USA in DEA and ATF licensed training facilities where both K9 and handler are nationally certified together as a team.

Since Georgia's jails and prisons are filled with people convicted of drug and weapons related offenses, CAG K9's mission is to use an innovative and proactive tool of K9 detection to identify a problem before the problem spirals out of control, often resulting in death or incarceration. Most highly trained K9s are typically only utilized by the Police and can cost approximately $20k each. These K9s and their incredible detection capabilities have not typically been available to the public for private use, until now. CAG K9 is also making their services available to parents, and families, to help confirm suspicions that a family member may be hiding weapons or drugs in their homes or cars so they can get the help they need without fear of arrest.

"Our goal is to provide a reasonably priced public service that will help locate weapons and drugs before they are used so that family members can then get loved ones the professional help they might need before it is too late. If our K9 teams can find drugs or dangerous vape before they are used, preventing overdose or addiction, we save lives. If we can find a gun in the hands of a depressed or unstable person before it is used, we know we are saving lives and making a dramatic difference in our community", said Adams.

With opioid overdose and weapons violence in the news everyday, CAG K9 Georgia, LLC is hopeful using K9s, "man's best friend" as a tool for prevention will help save lives in Georgia.
