SARASOTA, Fla. - Aug. 1, 2019 - Ms. Ilene Skeen is pleased to launch the Barebrush August 2019 Art of the Day Calendar -- where every day of art is a day you can enjoy and treasure.
Barebrush presents evocative contemporary art on the world's most innovative website. At Barebrush.com, the purpose of daily art is to whet your enjoyment of life day by day.
The August Art of the Day calendar
The Barebrush August calendar begins with a mysterious nude, In the Darkness by Peter Wong King. Mr. King is a photographer and sculptor working in Chochiti Lake, NM. He writes:
"Less is more, as I take away all trace of background and let B&W emphasize beautiful form."
The Barebrush August calendar features 31 artworks in a summer-is-ending mood: nudes, portraits, people doing people things, and more. Of particular interest is the delightful Girl in India by Robert Markey (Aug. 2), and the striking Nude in Lake Michigan by Peter Le Grand (Aug. 20). Ending the month on a wonky note is Ilene Skeen's watercolor sketch, La Photo de Celia, which painted from the live model, is not a photo.
Any day of the month you click on the calendar link at the end of this sentence, you will realize that all will be revealed in time....
July 2019 is now completely visible on the Barebrush website. Like real life, the August calendar reveals itself day by day.
