MILWAUKEE - July 25, 2019 - On August 10th and 11th between 1PM and 5PM, join the Lakebeat Music Academy for voice and Afro-Latinx percussion lessons, live music and family fun! We'll have DIY percussion crafts at 1pm, a group Afro-Latinx Percussion session at 2pm, and group Voice Lessons at 3pm. Live performance and jam featuring Lakebeat founder Brandon Payton-Carrillo finishes things off at 4pm.
Alongside the music and crafts will be Mercado Magic, a vibrant weekly gathering of makers, collectors, artists and healers from our community.
Founder of Mercado Magic Mariyam Nayeri explains,
"Each Saturday from 11am to 5pm at Botanica Galactica, an indoor space in the heart of Walker's Point. We feature an array of vendors offering vintage, handcrafted jewelry, CBD products, art, food, tarot, reiki, apothecary creations and so much more! Rotating live DJs set the groove. The market is a soulful family friendly affair celebrating the talents and passions of entrepreneurs of this city that we love so much."
