Canon EOS Rebel SL3 / 250D Review

Linden, United States, July 20,2019- The Canon EOS Rebel SL3 / 250D is the smallest camera possible, ready to go everywhere with you.

While this camera is really small, it still has the DSLR features you have come, including the excellent image quality these provide, a through-the-lens (TTL) optical viewfinder, fast phase-detection AF, very long battery life, a responsive shutter release and a grip that places you in control.

We went to the photo and video equipment store Abes of Maine to test this camera.

The latest-available Canon APS-C CMOS imaging sensor delivers great image quality. Compatibility with an extensive range of accessories is, of course, included.

According to Abes of Maine sales representatives, the SL-series design is such that the cameras remain (surprisingly) very usable and the SL3 is even further improved in this regard.

The EOS Rebel SL3 (named EOS 250D in Europe, EOS Kiss 10 in Japan and EOS 200D II in Asia/Oceania) is the next generation of the Canon EOS Rebel SL2 / 200D.

The Rebel SL3, same as the Rebel SL3 comes on the market as the smallest DSLR camera ever, with one exception, the discontinued initial Rebel SL-series model, the Canon EOS Rebel SL1 / 100D.

The SL2 and SL3 increased very slightly in size, because of some new features that were added, that, according to Abes of Maine experts, are certainly worth the additional dimensions.

According to Abes of Maine experts, the SL line of cameras slots very slightly below Canon EOS Rebel T7i and slightly above the Canon EOS Rebel T7.

When we asked about the meaning of the abbreviation “SL” in the name of the SL2 model, Abes of Maine official answer was that “S” stands for “Small” and “L” for “Light”.

The SL3 remains a great option for those wanting a small, light, and affordable DSLR that is natively compatible with a huge array of lenses, while mirrorless camera models such as the very-similar Canon EOS M50 are now competing very strongly with this DSLR line.

Sales representatives at Abes of Maine shared with us this camera is highly attractive to families wanting great image quality from a camera that is convenient to always have with them. Additionally, this is a great travel camera, favorable for those hiking long distances.
