Foghat to perform at Tulare County Fair

TULARE – Foghat will bring “Fool for the City” “Slow Ride” and more hits to the Budweiser Stage of the Tulare County Fair on Friday, Sept. 18.

Foghat was formed in 1971 and continues to perform today with original band member Roger Earl on drums and Craig MacGregor on bass. Vocals are now handled by Charlie Huhn, formerly with Ted Nugent. The band’s heavy tour schedule has resulted in the recent release of a concert DVD followed by a double CD. The band has garnered popularity among younger listeners thanks to Guitar Hero III, video games and numerous television shows and commercials.

“We always offer a great mix of genres at the fair, and having Foghat as our classic rock entry for the week is a huge coup,” noted Pamela Fyock, CEO of the Tulare County Fair. “This will be a great night of rock and roll so get here early for a good seat!

The Tulare County Fair is Sept. 16-20. Kids Day is opening day, Wednesday, Sept. 16; Senior Day, with $5 admission from 9 a.m. to noon, is Friday, Sept. 18; Friday is also Family Value Day, with admission $4 per person before 4 p.m. Carnival wristbands are $20 before Sept. 15, offering unlimited one-day rides.

Ticketed grandstands events include a tractor pull, monster truck show and the ever-popular Demolition Derby. For tickets and information, call 686-4707 or visit www.tcfair.org.
