Chief Minister of Kerala launched the logo of Digital Kerala Week

TRIVANDRUM, India -- Honorable Chief Minister of Kerala Mr. Oomen Chandy launched the logo for “Digital Kerala Week”. As a tribute to visionary leader, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Kesari Memorial Journalists Trust ( KUWJ) and One Library Per Village (OLPV) in association with students of TKM Engineering College Kollam are organizing “Digital Kerala Week”. Mr. Sujai.G Pillai, Brand Ambassador of MyGov (One among 20 selected members in PM Modi’s Digital India MyGov Team) received the logo from the CM.

KUWJ Trust President Mr.Sibi Kaddambilli presided the function and Secretary, Mr.Suresh Vellimangalam, Treasurer Mr. P . Sreekumar Mr.C.Rahim, Mr.Ajal Babu , Mr. Anil Bhagya were also present in the meeting.

All Professional colleges in the state can be part of this event and can participate in various Digital Empowerment voluntary programs in their college or society to spread productive uses of social media. Colleges can update photos, write-ups and videos of the activities that they have done in a separate portal.

Winners will be selected based on evaluation of various activities they have updated on the website. “Digital Kerala Week” mainly focuses on spreading the message about reducing the cybercrimes among youngsters and improving the productive use of social media. This is a step towards achieving Dr.Kalam’s dream - Vision 2020.

Organizers plan to include various events like mobile photography, Essay competition, quiz, dramas, Flash mob, etc during “Digital Kerala Week”. Event details will be announced on August 15th
