UDAIPUR, India -- Dr Chirag jain who hails from a small town 'PINDWARA' in Rajasthan and practising in Mumbai has been awarded by Indian solidarity council to get the prestigious national award 'JEWEL OF INDIA ' on 26 may 2015 In a grand function held in NEW DELHI.
The award was given by Dr.Bhisham singh Narain ex-cabinent minister and governor of 7 staes incuding Tamil nadu and O..P.Verma former chief justice and governor of Haryana and Punjab.He is also the youngest doctor to have received this prestigious award.The ceremony was attended by dignitaries of various fieds from different parts of the country.
He has been running a day care centre and a diagnostic lab named 'Inji Labs'. He treats most of the disease like dengue, malaria and pneumonia in the centre by intravenous as well as does many surgical procedures like incision and drainage , ear lobe repair, toenail removal etc in the centre.
He also been highly appreciated and lauded by international journal of surgery for his article on 'Non functioning Adrenal cortical tumour'.
Dr Chirag is of the view that by having these highly specialised day care centres the cost of treatment can be significantly reduced specially in a country like India where most of the patient cannot afford expensive hospital treatment and high charges in private hospitals.
He also believes government should promote these daycare centres and standardise these clinic with the minimum qualification being M.B.B.S
Dr Chirag believes that once these specialised centre are set up, the day is not far when there will be no patient who will suffer in india because of inadequate treatment or substandard treatment.
