BRADENTON, Fla. -- Ron Travis, Broker/Co-Owner of RE/MAX Alliance Group, has been awarded Realtor Emeritus status, which is presented to those who have held membership in the National Association of Realtors (NAR) as a Realtor, Realtor-Associate or both for a cumulative period of 40 years.
A lifelong Manatee County resident and third generation Florida Realtor, Travis earned his real estate license after graduating from Furman University at age 23, and went right to work for his father, Jack Travis.
In 1992, along with partner David Coupland, Ron Travis opened RE/MAX Gulfstream Realty, earning Broker/Owner of the Year for the RE/MAX Florida Region in 1995 and 2005. In January 2008, RE/MAX Gulfstream Realty merged with RE/MAX Properties, which had been established since 1989.
Travis has been very active in the industry, serving on numerous NAR committees on the local, state and national levels. He has served as President of the Manatee Association of Realtors (MAR), District 13 Vice President for the Florida Realtors, and National Director for NAR for five years. He was recognized as the MAR Realtor of the Year in 1993.
