This idea or theme should be well related and connected to the question or topic you are asked to discuss in the essay. If you want to discuss another issue as an essential and supportive part of your arguments, make it sure that you come back to the main subject very soon without wasting too much time and efforts. When doing so, always explain the reason for discussing the secondary points instead of focusing on the central argument of your essay”.
He was of the opinion that quotations must not be used as a primary argument in the essay as the same is not a substitute. “Avoid using other’s words when presenting your central question in essay. Try to develop a quotation free argument, which only belongs to you. The students must write each essay as per the given writing and referencing format, as any non-compliance with these formats (e.g. MLA, APA, Chicago, Turabian, Harvard and Oxford, etc.) may lead to a chaotic scenario for the writer. In his address, Dr. Franklin emphasized that each word written in the essay must be relevant. “There is no need to show the ultimate direction of your point if you are not asked to do so.
