HOLLYWOOD -- Actor/Associate Producer BLAKE YOUNG-FOUNTAIN stars as an angel in disguise searching for his purpose in the new web-series, GRIOT’S LAMENT III, which is currently streaming online at: https://vimeo.com/110544427.
The trilogy series and Young-Fountain’s touching performance has reached over 3.6 million views combined and has earned them a ‘Best Webisode’ award at the Urban Mediamakers Film Festival.
From director/writer Alex Muñoz (Sundance fellow; Spout; Riot), GRIOT’S LAMENT III follows Lupe (Yelba Osorio) and Salb (Young-Fountain), a set of fraternal twins who discover their power by helping others. While Lupe comforts a distraught grandmother, Salb helps a wounded girl home. However, the twin’s plans become distracted when Salb is threatened by two men in police uniforms. While both twins struggle with redemption, their lives become entangled in a web of unrest, heartbreak and violence.
Young-Fountain is thrilled the story is receiving the opportunity to be seen, commenting, “I am honored to be a part of an important series, that brings awareness to civil and urban unrest in our communities. I hope my character, Salb, gives hope and power to the voiceless.”
Recently, Young-Fountain finished filming the Gus Van Sant (Good Will Hunting; Milk) executive produced feature film, MICHAEL, where Young-Fountain worked opposite James Franco (127 Hours).
After growing up in St. Louis, Missouri, Young-Fountain moved to New York City and ended up graduating from the NYU Tisch school. He graduated with majors in both Drama (BFA) and Journalism (BA).
Blake Young-Fountain is represented by Abrams Artists Agency (Agent) and Industry Entertainment (Manager).
