There’s no shortage of websites to meet your criteria, be it ethnic or a hobby based. Yes, there are sites for vegetarians and geeks, sugar-daddies and beauties only. But what if you’re confident, successful and looking for someone in your league? You’re busy and don’t have time to deal with an ‘open season’ declaration. If this is the case, you could find yourself comfortable with OnTheList, a private social network uniting ladies and gentlemen with education, high-profile careers and charming personalities.
OnTheList founders admit that screening is the toughest part of the business. Some candidates are easily verified; they’ve been featured in media or are recognized professionals. “We’re lucky because our members bring their friends and colleagues onboard, and we usually trust them”, said Almir Salimov, OnTheList founder and CEO. Some require more research, but in any case a stranger to the network would be easily recognized due to a built-in feedback system. “You don’t necessarily have to be a celebrity or a CEO”, confessed Ivan Karachinsky, founder and CFO at OnTheList (http://otl.club/). “We open the door to savvy and open-minded people with distinctive backgrounds and international experience.”
The Moscow-based online platform knows no limits. The majority of members speak at least two foreign languages and do a lot of global traveling. Some are willing to relocate to exotic places for a date - all to meet someone special. “We’re planning to reach into other large cities, we’re now accepting members from around the world who meet our criteria”, says Oleg Goncharenko, a founder of OnTheList.
OnTheList boasts a striking difference to other international websites: almost 60% of users are women, mostly Russian. “It is the perfect place to meet feminine, charismatic women who constitute the elite of today’s Russia”, said Gregory, banker and OnTheList member.
OnTheList has already seen a few marriages since its launch. “For me it was the first and last date via an online platform”, admits Anna, a marketing director. “The curious part is that my husband and I had a couple of common friends, but we never met before joining OnTheList.”
Some OnTheList members have already settled but still enjoy OnTheList parties, where they can easily make new contacts. Others keep looking for their matches. And even when the experience doesn’t turn into a movie-style romance, it has every chance to become a rewarding connection. A win-win for all.
