SHANGHAI, China -- Shanghai International F1 Circuit -

This weekend, Rounds 10&11 of the 2014 Asia Formula Renault Championship [‘AFR’] will continue at the world-famous Shanghai International F1 Circuit. The races will be held Saturday and Sunday in Shanghai along with the stunning FIA World Endurance Championship’s “6 Hours of Shanghai” event, featuring top-level race cars from Aston Martin, Porsche, Audi and others.

There are only two AFR weekends left in the 2014 Championship: this weekend in Shanghai followed by Rounds 12&13 on December 13-14, at Zhuhai International Circuit during the annual Circuit Hero 500kms event. PS Racing is looking to take the International and Masters Drivers Championships early this weekend with continued strong performances from championship leader PSR/X-Lane driver Maxx Ebenal of Canada, who has a chance to win the series this weekend as long as he finishes both races in front of Formula Renault UK Champion and GP3 driver Alice Powell of England; and in the Masters Category, PSR’s Guillaume Cunnington of France has led the championship all season and only needs to finish Rounds 10&11 this weekend to guarantee his Championship win. With rain in the forecast for this weekend and championships on the line, Rounds 10&11 promise to bring thrills to AFR and FIA World Endurance Championship fans alike.

In spite of the attention focused on Ebenal and Cunnington, PSR is also fielding three other talented drivers in its AFR line-up: Sebastien Mailleux of France, who took a 2nd place Master’s podium in the last AFR weekend; Neric Wei of China, who is currently 3rd in points in the 2014 AFR Asian Class Championship; and Markus Engel of Germany, who had a fantastic Asia Formula Renault debut in Round 8 by taking to the Master’s podium in his very first AFR race.
