Application Period for Career Step Military and High School Scholarships Closing October 31

PROVO, Utah -- Career Step, an online provider of career-focused education and corporate training, will be closing the application period for both its military service member and dependents scholarship and its high school senior scholarship on Friday, October 31.These scholarships will each award $2,000 to the winner to be used toward higher education at the institution of their choice.

“A passion for education is core to who we are and what we do here at Career Step,” said Ryan Ewer, Vice President of Enrollments and Marketing. “We have developed these scholarship programs to support education in all its forms because we truly believe that it is one of the best ways to change and improve the lives of individuals.”

The scholarships with October 31, 2014 deadlines offer education assistance for two distinct audiences. Members of the military community—service members, veterans, spouses, and other dependents—and high school seniors graduating in 2015 are invited to apply for the respective awards.

To apply, students must submit an 800- to 1,000-word essay on how they plan to use their education to benefit their family and community. Applications can be submitted at CareerStep.com/scholarships (http://careerstep.com/scholarships?uid=pub141027).

“We offer these scholarships because we see the need and desire for education every day in our interactions with students and those considering the choice to go back to school,” said Ben Hartman, Admissions Director at Career Step. “We truly believe in the difference education makes and hope that people will take advantage of these opportunities and submit their applications before the October 31 deadline.”

Winners will receive $2,000 toward education at the institution of their choice. The scholarship can be used for degree or vocational programs, and the money will be delivered directly to the institution of the winner’s choice.

Career Step offers a number of other scholarship awards as well, including one for mothers returning to school and an award specifically for graduating high school seniors in Career Step’s home state of Utah.
