For Immediately Release - On Friday October 24, 2014, The Doughboys will perform at the Langosta Lounge in Asbury Park, New Jersey, playing an irresistible mix of favorite 60's covers and their instantly classic originals that will have young and old dancing all night long!
The Doughboys first got together in the mid 60's, and soon landed a record contract with Bell Records, releasing 2 now highly collectable 45's. They played WMCA "Good Guys" shows up and down the east coast, culminating in an opening spot for The Beach Boys. Today they are Little Steven Van Zandt's favorite garage rockers, and songs from all three of their CDs ("Is It Now?", "Act Your Rage" and "Shakin' Our Souls") are in heavy rotation on his Underground Garage radio on Sirius/XM. In fact, they have had seven songs chosen as "Coolest Song In The World" on the Underground Garage: Black Sheep, I'm Not Your Man, Why Can't She See Me?, Tuesday Afternoon, It's A Crying Shame, Yo Yo, The Tears Of A Clown.
