DELHI, India -- ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the prestigious Christ College of Pune to offer its internationally recognised accountancy courses. The students will be able to avail this opportunity while pursuing their regular degree courses and finish both the courses at the same time.
With the signing of MoU, ACCA and Christ College will work in partnership to offer the ACCA Qualification, which is equivalent to a UK Master’s degree, to finance and accountancy students. Through this certification, students will get an exposure to International qualification standards as ACCA exam is based on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). India’s corporate sector is set to embrace the global accounting norms from financial year 2015-16 on a voluntary basis and from financial year 2016-17 on a mandatory basis.
Christ College is a Christian minority institution affiliated to the University of Pune. The College is recognized by Government of Maharashtra and is managed by Carmel Vidya Bhavan Trust of the CMI (Carmelites of Mary Immaculate) congregation.
