NEW YORK -- Julianne Michelle, the actress who stars in "Awakened" (now on VOD), "The House is Burning", "Apartment 1303 3-D", "Amazing Racer" and quite a number of other motion pictures, and has won two BEST ACTRESS awards for her superb performances in "The House is Burning" from the Flash Foundation Young Film Festival in Poland and for "Awakened" from the NYCIFF in NY along with three nominations for Best Actress in LA. Julianne 27, is an artist, ice skater and has been acting in lead roles in motion pictures since age 5 when she was discovered by a Hollywood producer. Actually, her first TV appearance was on CBS TV News on her first birthday when the producer spotted her playing with toys at FAO Schwartz on Fifth Avenue in New York.
When asked about highlights of her career, Julianne’s response usually includes her love for her friends who are such talented actors with caring hearts, her charity work which her career enables her to do, and how she truly enjoyed being directed by Oliver Stone in "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps".
Her involvement in helping important causes, especially helping children, is so important to Julianne. She has been a Chair each year since age 18 for the Children At Heart Celebrity Auction and Dinner. Her mother and Steven Spielberg's brother-law founded the "Children at Heart" event. Steven Spielberg is chairman of this important gala event every year to benefit the Children of Chernobyl. Julianne has also been involved with many other causes such as Alzheimer's, Variety, St Jude events, and also events for homeless children and adults.
