TAMPA, Fla. -- Since Rebels Rescue’s inception in October of 2013, Rebels Rescue has saved 123 cats and kittens from the shelter and the streets. Unlike other rescues, Rebels Rescue is not selective. Rebels Rescue steps up to save all cats in need, including those that require serious medical attention. Rebels Rescue—comprised of only 15 fosters—is funded solely by private donations and does not receive any monetary aid from the city, county, state, or federal government. To help cover the expenses of veterinarian care, Rebels Rescue has teamed up with Florida Avenue Brewing Co. to host a spaghetti dinner and silent auction fundraiser. All proceeds will benefit Rebels Rescue and will be used to facilitate the rescue of and veterinarian care for stray, abandoned, neglected, abused, and surrendered animals.

Who: Rebels Rescue and Florida Avenue Brewing Co.

What: An evening of spaghetti, beverages, live music, auctions and mingling with animal lovers and the women of Rebels Rescue. Section 31 will provide music. The auction items will include two sets of Rays baseball tickets, various baskets, and an Emerson Actioncam Digital Camera with a waterproof case and mounting kit.

When: 7 p.m., Saturday, May 10, 2014. Dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m.

Why: The event will raise money to pay Rebel Rescue’s current veterinarian bill—Rebels Rescue is unable to save more animals until this debt is paid. All proceeds benefit Rebels Rescue.
