Weekend Golfer Discovers A Way to Drop Your Score with a New Twist on an Age Old Practice

ATLANTA -- If you ask any amateur golfer on any day what his average putts per round, greens in regulation, up and down, sand saves, and fairways hit are and you’ll probably get a blank stare. The reason for the stare is because they have no idea. While attempting to see where his game could use a face lift, Matthew could not tell from his score card what could be keeping him from his best golf ever. Trying to remember the amount of greens hit and the like was not an option. So, like any other person in this age of technology would do, he looked for an app. After using that app for awhile, he realized he spent more time shading his phone from the glare of the sun, unlocking his phone, and trying to conserve his battery. All of which was more of a distraction than anything else.

Then it hit him; why not upgrade the score card to capture this information. Everybody uses a score card. It just needs to have a face lift. So after a few months of prototypes and market research, he came up with the Game Improvement Score Cards.

What are the Game Improvement Score Cards? Simply put, this card allows you to keep track of the vital statistics that can make or break your game. Using this card you can see everything that you have done from tee to green for every stroke. Here are the stats: Fairways Hit, Greens in Regulation, Up and Downs, Sand Saves and Putts. It can even be used to note distances and penalty strokes. This card also has an evaluation section that you can compare your stats to that of a Scratch golfer, a 9-handicap, and an 18-handicap. The evaluation section can be used to set goals and gauge where you are during and after the round.

Evaluating your game post round is where this card takes on a new purpose. Now for the first time, you can take your score card to the range and practice green with a purpose. If you take note of your distances with the card you’ll see what distances you need to practice while at the range. You’ll see exactly what stat needs to improve in order to lower your score without any guess work.

In addition to that, you’ll also be able to evaluate your game with stats provided on the back of the card both during your round and after. You’ll know exactly where you stand at all times and if you're reaching the goals you have set.

Matthew says that his own game has gotten more consistent and he has also scored his lowest round ever while using these cards. He credits this to the card because it keeps you looking forward and helps you to make better decisions based on your goals and where you are in your round.
