MIDDLESEX, N.J. -- Academy of Robotics and Engineering recently conducted an After School Robotics Program at the Fords Middle School from March 31st to April 4th, 2014.
Children who participated in the program were excited and motivated to learn STEM while building Robots. Students built Clawbot using the VEX IQ Robotic Kits while learning valuable Science and Technology Concepts. Children enjoyed the super charged Robotics competition that was held at the end of program. Each team was was challenged to pick the maximum number of balls scattered in a rectangular ring shaped arena and drop the ball into their respective baskets. The team that gathered the maximum numbers of balls was declared the winner.
Woodbridge Township Mayor Mr. John McCormac along with Fords Middle School Principal Mr. Glenn Lottmann were present to motivate and encourage these students for excelling in STEM and performing beyond their grade level.
Children were presented Certificate of Participation by Mr. John McCormac at the conclusion of the Robotics competition.
