MBA Multimedia, today announced the upcoming launch of their flagship product, the ''Wordpress W3D Plugin''. The company is part of the Rennes Novosphere, a gateway and partner support network for innovative ventures from that region.
The W3D Project aims to make the process of adding 3D interactions (through depth perception and interactivity) easy and accessible to companies developing web interfaces. It includes a dedicated admin settings screen and a powerful shortcode system for quickly creating, customizing and adding complex 3D elements to a Wordpress website.
This plugin has been built after 2 years of research provided by partner organizations, in how cursors should behave in pseudo-3D space; elastic textures that provide a sense of touch and depth; as well as pseudo-haptic textures that optically induce relief in textures by adjusting the speed of the mouse pointers. It has content sliders (including background parallax slider, mouse motion parallax slider, 3D box slider) as well as grid layouts with multiple effects.
W3D is useful for website developers, marketing/branding managers, and design agencies. While the applications of the technology are wide, it can specifically be beneficial for serious games, interactive educational courses, online healthcare services, high-experience brand store-fronts, and more.
"The aim of the W3D project is to create immersive websites or web UI elements giving the user a real sensation of depth in a 2D environment."
