Kudos to Jarvee Hutcherson & the Multicultural Motion Picture Association

Hollywood, CA - On Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 8:00 pm President & Founder Jarvee Hutcherson of the Multicultural Motion Picture Association (MMPA) were honored for 20th year anniversary for Outstanding contributions in the arts and entertainment industry. The honorable John A. Mirisch, Mayor of the City of Beverly Hills presented the proclamation to Mr. Jarvee Hutcherson at the event.

The Multicultural Motion Picture Association produces a variety of diverse events each year’s such as the Annual Diversity Awards, The Night Before the Oscars, The meet and great reception, Oscar Week Luncheon to also benefit The MMPA and Educational Scholarship Fund for student filmmakers.

This annual charity event, which has been a staple of the Academy weekend for the past 20 years, it has been known the place to see and been seen at. Also has become among the many sought-after events of camaraderie and Oscar day excitement that jump starts the anticipation of Sunday’s Academy event.

The MMPA organization benefits and plays host to an array of entertainment luminaries and Academy Award nominees during Oscar Week. 2014 Academy Oscar Nominees and celebrities were invited to the event. The MMPA is proud to share the exciting news that with this kind of annual charity over 253 students filmmakers for the past 20 years have benefited with scholarships to further their education.

The event took place at the Andaz Hotel, Top of the Strip, Panorama Room, Rooftop at 8401 Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood, CA 90069.

Some of the celebrities that have participated in the past have been: Halle Berry, Jennifer Lawrence, Lupita Nyong'o, Matt Damon, Rob Lowe, Michael Douglas, Kerry Washington and many more.

The event included live entertainment, red carpet arrivals, a silent auction, raffles and sumptuous Hors d’oeuvres including a lavish dessert table for the honorees, guests, and the celebrity crowd. The entertainment of various recording artists was under the direction of Larry & Marshall Covin.

The 20th Annual MMPA Night Before the Oscars was sponsored by various studios and entertainment companies.

Jarvee Hutcherson is the founder and president of the Multicultural Motion Picture Association (MMPA) and Executive Producer of the 20th Annual MMPA Night before the Oscars.
