Jerome Stubert, General Manager of Novotel Century Hong Kong welcomed Li and the other tennis players at a reception cocktail hosted in Pepino Italian Restaurant of the hotel on the night of 2 March. With over 50 VIPs attended the cocktail.

The World Tennis Day was officially kicked off by Li, Stosur, Berdych and Hewitt at Novotel Century Hong Kong. It was an honour that the Hotel be the appointed hotel for the four tennis players and the organizer of this event.

Asia’s first-ever Grand Slam champion, Li Na is the No 2 ranked tennis player competed in match with 2011 former US Open winner Sam Stosur of Australia on the World Tennis Day.

The second match in Hong Kong featured former men's number number one and two-time Grand Slam champion Australia's Lleyton Hewitt and current top 10 player Tomas Berdych from the Czech Republic.
