Inbox America attended the American Bankers Association (ABA) National Conference for Community Bankers in Phoenix Arizona, a premier event for community bank CEOs.
The ABA gathered bankers from across the country to examine the forces challenging and reshaping financial services — and explore how to respond to ensure a strong future for banks and the financial industry. Across the 3-day-conference, more than 800 bankers discussed how they are employing their specific resources to meet client needs today and building the technological infrastructure to optimize service tomorrow.
A range of topics were discussed during working sessions and presentations to capture current thinking and best practices in the banking marketplace:
- Strategy: Rebrand, Reimagine, Rebuild: Community Banks and Generation Next, Improving Costs and Operational Efficiency, How to Effectively Compete—Even Against Non-Bank Banks by Breaking through the Clutter
- Employees and customers’ engagement: Leveraging Social Media to Recruit Tomorrow’s Talent Today, Cracking the Code on Employee Wellness Programs
- Management and technology: The New Breed of Bank Management: What It Now Takes to Succeed, Ahead of the Curve: Competitive Banking Powered by Technology, The Promise of Prepaid Mobile Deposit Capture.
Inbox America advocated for a renewed vision around data-driven banking marketing and customer segmentation. According to Yoni Elmalem, CEO of Inbox America, “Community banks, like other financial institutions, face an ever-growing list of challenges that make it impossible to thrive without truly understanding customers' needs and expectations. Traditional business models and marketing are becoming less effective, especially with the importance of digital channels.” Inbox exchanged ideas and business cases with bankers on new data-driven consulting approaches, “Many CRM systems currently used are outdated and need to be empowered with new data-analytics that combine traditional and social-media data sources to better meet clients’ ever-changing expectations,” said Elmalem.
