Docman supports leading trusts on their digital journey

WEST YORKSHIRE, U.K. -- King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust ranked number one in the table utilise Docman’s electronic referral management, transfer and collaboration solutions to support delivering world class care. Surrounding practices in the area utilise Docman GP to electronically manage, workflow and collaborate on all clinical and non-clinical information from Kings and other providers. The solutions drive a connected healthcare by removing time consuming processes of handling paper, resulting in significant cost savings and improved information flow to the point of care where and when it is needed, delivering Tim Kelsey’s commitment to a ‘paperless NHS’ by the end of 2015.

Electronic Document Management

King’s has utilised Docman’s referral management system to quickly capture incoming referrals from any source, providing a platform to capture, file, workflow and electronically track every incoming referral. This project was recognised for excellence in the HSJ Efficiency Awards.

Interoperability

The Trust has utilised Docman Hub to transfer clinical correspondence electronically to GP Practices, driving significant time and cost savings. Practices receive these letters directly into Docman’s intuitive workflow, benefiting from auto-patient matching, pre-populated filing fields and reduced scanning. Over 100 NHS Trusts have taken the Docman Hub route to drive process efficiencies, deliver better patient care and drive ‘cash releasing’ savings by transferring letters electronically.

Collaboration

Docman’s Community Collaborator is being utilised across the health economy to support Multi-Disciplinary (CMDT) teams in a practical approach to ‘real-time’ information sharing and collaboration. This enables clinicians and carers to have the right information at the right time to deliver the best possible patient care.
