This exclusive event will recognize the talents of African designers and artist while empowering and promoting these designers around the globe. The affair will showcase 40 designers’ creative work on the runway of the prestigious Great Room at the Historic Savage Mill in Maryland. The event will commence with an opening ceremony celebrating the culture of African. In attendance will be our life patron her excellency Princess Fifi Ejindu , along with a host of dignitaries, first ladies, celebrities, designers and the business community from both Africa and USA.
Princess Fifi Ejindu, is the founder and president of African Arts and Fashion Initiative. Her excellency, Princess Fifi Ejindu is also a celebrated entrepreneur, architect , philanthropist and a descendent of royalty. Princess Fifi Ejindu is an instrumental force behind the African Arts and Fashion Week DC. This event is a vision of her passion to empower and bring change to the youth of Africa.

The Emphasis is on driving an African Arts and Style Renaissance to mobilize, sensitize and most importantly, empower the array of talented designers and artists in Africa. AAFI promotes and organizes exhibitions and forums to showcase African Art and Antiques, African Fashion, African Music and all things Made in Africa. Quarterly journals and other materials are published to promote African Arts and Style.
