ST LOUIS PARK, Minn. -- Golden Valley, MN 55427 - HotSpring Spas of Minnesota and Iowa, selling new and used hot tubs, portable spas, swim spas and saunas is proud to publish a guide designed to improve relationships. “Today’s world is busier than ever, and we are often pulled in many directions all at once. As we rush about with our jobs, activities and chores, we sometimes forget about those people most important to us,” said Dan Eppard, General Manager of Hot Spring Spas of Iowa.
“It’s easy to take loved ones for granted. They’re always around, and there’s always tomorrow. However, it’s important to spend time with the people we love and keep the bonds strong,” continued Eppard. Here are three ways to stay in shape during the holidays and still have fun.
Eat Together – Sit down and eat dinner together at the table. Eating in front of the TV, going separate ways to different rooms, eating on the go in the car—these are all commonplace today, and take away valuable time for communication. Dinner time is often the most likely time for family members to spend together. After dinner there are chores, homework, events, and errands that can take up time, but just sitting down for a half hour to an hour, and enjoying a good meal that is healthy while talking about the day is a great way to reconnect.
Have a Family Fun Day – Spend a day off connecting with family members and playing games. It doesn’t matter if the games are board games or contact sports in the backyard. What matters is the time spent having fun and doing things together. Some other great ways to have a family fun day is to find local spots that are new and invigorating such as a natural trail, a museum, or beach. Avoid places where there is a tendency to be separated by the event even when together such as concerts or plays. Those are great activities, but the idea behind family fun days is to do things with each other and communicate while doing it.
Jump in the Water – Invest in a hot tub for the home. Hot tubs are a great place to get together at the end of the day. The comforting water relaxes sore muscles and frazzled nerves while creating a pleasant place to talk and enjoy each other’s company.
Everyone in the family will love playing and relaxing in a hot tub from the youngest to the oldest in the group. Hot tubs take up far less room than full-sized pools and can fit in even the most compact areas. They offer more health and relaxation benefits that a standard tub, and increase the value of the home as well.
Adding a hot tub is easy, and is far more cost effective than joining a health club where there may be room for all of the family at the same time, or not. Public pools and hot tubs are not as good for family communication either where the atmosphere is hindered by the community availability. Having a hot tub at home lets everyone in the family enjoy the relaxing environment whenever they want, and is a great way to create impromptu moments of togetherness.

“To help people understand how hydrotherapy can help improve overall health and well-being, we will provide free hot tub test soaks in our 5 locations during the entire month,” commented Eppard. “We want to encourage local consumers to check out the benefits of a relaxing soak in an energy efficient hot tub for themselves.”
