WHY: Too many cryonicists have experienced hours -- and sometimes days -- of warm ischemia because they live alone or died in their sleep. Worse, such patients have sometimes been subject to brain autopsy. A cryonics activist who was married was discovered dead on the floor of their house hours after cardiac arrest. Vital signs monitoring equipment could be life-saving for cryonicists who deanimate unobserved. The logistics and human support of such systems is at least as problematic as the systems themselves. Strategies for addressing these problems will be discussed.
