DELHI/NCR, India -- The premier mentoring service for MOOCs worldwide, MOOCs Mentor, is currently on a massive registration drive to rope in new aspirants of MOOCs for mentoring services. Quality mentoring is a dire requirement for MOOCs, as can be deduced from Sebastian Thrun, CEO of Udacity, according to whom MOOCs 'lack the human touch.'
Currently hosting courses from Coursera, Udacity, EdX, OLI, FutureLearn and OpenYale, MOOCs Mentor has evolved rapidly in a very short span of time. We are planning to expand our member base in the United States, and tap into virgin territory such as the South East Asian Countries, particularly India, at the same time. We have currently received a positive response from Universities across New Delhi and hope to target more niche segments as time passes.
MOOCs are touted as an innovation that has the potential to forever change the face of higher education globally. Students and professionals are benefitted by certificate courses taught by leading academicians of their respective fields themselves. However, being confined to the virtual space, human intervention in the learning process, which enriches the content and brings in perspective, seems to be lacking. The same was noted by Sebastian Thrun, CEO of Udacity, which is a major MOOC provider.
He seems to have echoed the very edifical tenet on which MOOCs Mentor is based. We empathize with MOOC aspirants, and believe in providing as comprehensive assistance in the learning process as possible, at the same time taking care to meet their individual needs.
