Express Earn 18-Point Victory Over Westchester Dutchmen

A prolific second half powered the Jersey Express team to its victory as the Express ran past Westchester Dutchmen, 120-102, on Saturday at Shabazz High School. The Express (5-1) poured in a total of 55 points in the final two periods as six players finished in double-figures for the first time since a 150-100 blowout against the Bronx Holy Frames.

Jason Smith (Paterson, NJ), the leading scorer for the night, netted 24 points, and knocked down four 3-point field goals while shooting 8-for-14 from the field with two rebounds and one steal in the win. Former Seton Hall University player Keon Lawrence (Newark, NJ) scored 18 points with five assists and three steals.

Smush Parker (Brooklyn, N.Y) and Melvin Creddle (Newark, NJ) ended the night with 16 points and 4 points respectively. Parker also grabbed nine rebounds, three steals, and had seven assist. Creddle had a season-high of eleven assist with three steals.

Guard Travis Conyers (Jersey City, NJ), stepped up and delivered 13 points to go with two rebounds and a steal. Forward William Goines (Paterson, NJ), chipped in 12 points with six rebounds and two assists.
