On December 23rd, M-Connect Media offered an exclusive upgrade to its existing “flat rate per shipping”. In October, the company had introduced this interesting extension using which pricing details could be customized as per your brand’s need. In fact, one could even suggest bundle pricing for their products using this extension. But, certain features were missing in this extension which has been introduced in the upgraded version. Pricing is an important factor for any eCommerce brand and, this extension allowed them to decide a specific pricing for products that could be shipped from anywhere.
In the older version that was released in October, one could not import the shipping rate field using CSV. This simply meant there was no import export option available which made the entry manual for the retailers. This became cumbersome. The upgraded version has addressed the needs of import/export and, has made available the option for importing shipping rate field values using CSV. You can import the value using System> Import/Export Utility
In the older version of this extension, in case you happened to set the flat shipping rate field to zero, you would notice that on express checkout, the rate transformed to “$0.00”. In the upgrade, in case you do not enter any value in the flat rate shipping field, then automatically the shipping rate field gets hidden during express checkout.
