AHMEDABAD, India -- Ahmedabad based poet Reshma Asrani has collaborated with Russian artist Pe Pa. Reshma Asrani is the first Indian poet who has collaborated with Mosccow based artist and painter Pe Pa in her book THE ECLIPSED FLAME published by Cyberwit.net. The book features poems of Reshma Asrani and paintings of Pe Pa. The book is getting good response both in India and Russia.
This book is an attempt to encourage 'self-exploration'. It s a kind of personal diary with a repertoire of poetry which seeks to stimulate contemplation and spending some time alone for self! A larger view is encouraging masses to take some part of the day for pursuing things that they love, and might have left behind their passion in the daily hustle bustle of life. The belief behind it is that, many 'problems' or 'causes' of stress can be solved if some time is devoted towards introspection and expression of self though various arts or hobbies.
THE AUTHOR
Brought up in an unconventional family, Reshma Asrani has grown up with a medley of views. Ironically, she got married at the age of 18 after 5 years of her romantic rendezvous. No sooner did she complete her graduation in BCOM from HLCC, she started as a career advisor in one of the national coaching institutes, Endeavor Careers Pvt Ltd. After 2 years of appreciated service, she opted for a Masters in Entrepreneurship from Ahmedabad University and an Executive Programme in Cambridge University. Surprisingly (as usual), she joined Janvikas NGO after her Masters, with a hope to give a new direction to her life and make it more meaningful by making a difference in the society rather than just cribbing about the current state. It was rather an epiphany which made her choose development sector and reject the ‘trending’ sectors after completing her management degree. She says, “During all this, the one thing that has remained constant in me is my fascination towards philosophy and writing. I wish to carry it up to my grave”
THE PAINTER
Pepa is a young contemporary artist whose works can be seen in private collections in India, USA, Venezuela, Spain, Russia. Her last private exhibition "Yours" was held in Spain and last group exhibition “Capturing time” held in New York.
