SCHWäBISCH-GMüND/LINDACH, Germany -- The innovative source of Weiss Raised Floor which is well known for its progressive developments introduces another milestone in data center cooling and climatisation: The Hydrologic Panel V. This augmented raised floor tile is the peak of modern economically and ecologically aware cooling systems and is registered for the German Data Center Award 2014.
As an advancement of the Hydrologic Panel, the Hydrologic Panel V can be operated with cold water (CW) or direct expansion cooling (DX) or a combination of cold water and direct evaporative cooling. Furthermore, the V-shaped order of the chillers facilitates mounting exchangeable filters and the easy removal of condensate.
The Active Panels of Weiss Raised Floor Systems count for an internationally recognised innovation in data center climatisation. In the triathlon of space consumption, energy efficiency and performance their advantages simply outclass conventional cooling systems: Active Panels save energy by discharging the heat of the racks directly where it is produced. And by integrating the cooling elements into the raised floor they gain space, which otherwise would have been occupied by climate cabinets or side- and inrow coolers. Now, this space can be used for further server racks thus enhancing the performance of the data center.
