Mr. Duane Christie, artist, founder and CEO of UK Unsigned Hype is hosting the second annual UK Unsigned Hype Music Awards, taking place Sunday December 8 2013 in London. A portion of the proceeds from the event are being donated to MacMillan Cancer Support.
Mr. Christie, also known on stage as, Duane Flames said, “This is my second annual UK Unsigned Hype Music Awards and it just keeps getting bigger and better. These music awards aren’t only about the artists who show case their talents at the venues we provide. It’s also about honoring, and it’s about giving back and paying tribute to the many established artists who have supported me in continuing to make my dreams come true.”
“As a performing unsigned artist playing gigs all over the UK, that experience quickly taught me that the music industry lacks the supportive element that new unsigned talent needs to grow. As a result of my experiences, I created UK Unsigned Hype in 2006, http://www.ukunsignedhype.com to give new music talent a venue to show case what they got in an ethical and nurturing forum. What makes my company unique is the unpinning use of modern technology like social media, to filter out who gets to perform on open mic night.
