CAMARILLO, Calif. -- Life Systems Group has introduced a new, patent-pending product called LifeTankTM – designed to provide households with fresh water in the case of a disaster. LifeTank is an innovative water system that simultaneously addresses three needs: access to emergency water, ability to isolate from contamination, and continuous replenishment of fresh water without maintenance.
“People can live for an extended period without food; however, daily water intake is essential for survival,” says Mick Benson, the inventor of Life Tank. “I created LifeTankafter Hurricane Sandy hit, leaving hundreds of Americans without running water for several days, or the possibility of contaminated water. LifeTank allows families to easily safeguard against disaster – simply install and leave it.”

LifeTank’s patent-pending technology allows water to flow through the tank during regular household use, which means water doesn’t stagnate as with storage containers. Since water is consistently replenished, LifeTank needs no rotation, draining or purification. In the event that water supply is polluted, LifeTank can be isolated from contamination and converted from a pressurized system to a gravity-flow system – allowing access to clean water through two spigots.
“If an earthquake, hurricane, winter storm, or other disaster strikes your community, you might not have access to food, water, and electricity for days or even weeks,” state the American Red Cross and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). “…Having an ample supply of clean water is a top priority in an emergency… Store at least one gallon per person, per day. Consider storing at least a two-week supply of water for each member of your family.”
Those numbers quickly add up, but LifeTank addresses the need for volume: standard models are available in 80 gallons and 120 gallons; plus larger capacities are available by custom order. For more information, visit lifetanks.com or call 855.422.3131.
