INGLEWOOD, Calif. -- New York rappers are being called out by rappers from the Western and Southern regions for a lack of creativity. New Yorkers have been listening and paying close attention to home wondering if a New Yorker can ascended and reign over Hip-Hop again.
Enter King Q, (a moniker he acquired before Kendrick Lamar's 'King Kendrick') a Rockaway Queens native who is a born again Christian. King Q says Jesus has resurrected him from a thugs life of mayhem and to a voice and vessel for the creator. King Q was a block general in his old neighborhood but refuses to rap about the typical content rappers deliver because "I've lived that life and only GOD should be glorified. All praises to my GOD and saviour, Christ".
"This record, is hard, real, a true testimony and testiment to GOD. I think people know this is organic. I'm in the vein right now, the vein to the heart of GOD. It's a lot gangsters and thugs out there confused and I was them at one point. When they see me I know they can identify with my pedigree, I want them to Identify with my message also.
