NEW DELHI, India -- Harmeet Singh Kalka BJP SAD Candidate from Kalkaji kick starts door to Door Campaign

New Delhi : Harmeet Sigh Kalka, the BJP Akali candidate contesting on BJP symbol has kick started its door to door campaign, post his nomination. The fight seems interesting for the south Delhi’s prestigious seat, as he is directly fighting with 3 times sitting MLA of congress.

The major fight is between BJP and congress candidates as AAP has fielded BJP rebel for this seat which is going against AAP s ethics. Initially an active AAP volunteer and auto driver Bhag Singh’s name was in rounds for the candidature but at last moment his name dropped and BJP rebel Dharamvir Singh got the ticket

The of this seat is making the fight even more interesting as Harmeet Singh is first time contestant still he keeps a good hold on Sikhs and Punjabi votes which are approx 30 % of the total votes in the area. Harmeet Singh is also holding the post of Joint Secretary, Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC). All India Secretary General, Youth AKALI DAL, Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) Patron, Youth Akali Dal, Delhi State.

While kick starting his campaign with a visit to local gurudwara and temple he said, the development is the key issue for seat as since last 15 years people of this area have been largely deprived off from quality life in the absence of basic amenities ie proper roads, sewerage, drinking water etc.

He also participated in a muharram procession in the area taken out yesterday.
