CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Douglas Therrell of North Carolina today announced the launch of two new websites. One highlights the varied career paths he's journeyed and the other is to feature his blogs. Therrell decided to create these sites to showcase his accomplishments, provide insights, and to encourage others to pursue their goals.

Therrell’s career website, http://douglastherrellnc.wordpress.com, catalogs his pilgrimage through his professional life. From his job as a music professor to his current work in real estate investment and development, Doug Therrell covers a lot of ground on several different turfs. “Historically I’ve been active in so many roles and positions in academia and the arts, in business, and in my volunteer work that I wanted to show others what’s possible,” Therrell said.

His blog spot, http://douglastherrellnorthcarolina.blogspot.com, is to feature narratives about Doug’s experiences and his advice to those starting out. Therrell said, “When I was in my twenties I had a mentor who made a tremendous impact on my life and the choices I made later, long after he was gone.” He said, “While it’s not a mentorship, posting some thoughts to teach people some of what I’ve learned and to encourage them along the way makes this a worthy endeavor for me.”

Both websites are newly published with plans to add new content and additional pages. With such an eclectic background, it appears Therrell will have no trouble finding something to say. Besides music and the performing arts, Doug has mastered the insurance industry; worked as vice president of a bank; brokered many land and real estate transactions; co-founded a privately owned learning lab; started his own consulting firm; and has served on a number of boards, including several at the world-renowned Oxford University.
