BIRMINGHAM, U.K. -- Gourmandize is keeping up its momentum by announcing the third recipe contest since the site’s early summer launch. Now in search of quick and easy weeknight dinners, this competition invites cooks of all levels to participate. An unlimited number of recipes are accepted per member and must be received by 12 November 2013. Recipes submitted with photos will count as two entries and will be placed in a prize drawing to win an Amazon Kindle Fire HD or a Morphy Richards slow cooker. The more recipes submitted the greater the chances of winning. Food bloggers will be eligible for a special blogger prize, a restaurant meal for two with Smartbox. The blogger recipes will be evaluated on originality and photo quality by the Gourmandize team.

Stephanie McIntosh, Editorial Manager of the site, came up with the idea for the competition theme, “It’s not always easy getting dinner on the table during the week. No matter how many mouths you need to feed, finding the time, energy and inspiration to make a tasty, nutritious meal in record time is hard work. By choosing the competition theme, weeknight dinners, we are searching for the best recipes home cooks reach for when time is short. Gourmandize.co.uk is the brainchild of parent company 750 Grams International. One of the most popular cooking websites in France, 750g.com was created in 2004 and now engages over 15 million monthly visitors by, in part, maintaining to an active involvement with the French blogging community. The site features two chefs, Damien and Christophe, who also lead a cooking school in the northern town of Soissons.
