PeerTV Groups announces sales jump

PeerTV, the TV over the internet to printed circuit board production solutions group has announced that its subsidiary company Digitek SMT Assemblies Limited had won sales totallingapproximately $870,000 during the three months to 30 September 2013. This represents an increase of almost 40% compared to the sales recorded during the six months to 30 June 2013. The sales boost is expected to mean the Group is now trading profitable for the first time since 2011 and marks an important step in the delivery of the Group’s new business strategy.

Digitek currently holds sales orders of approximately $2 million and letters of intent for sales orders totally a further $2.5 million.

Digitek specialises in high quality electronic assembly, applying quality standards demanded by the defence, medical and high tech sectors and now offers a range of services including cabling, power supply design and coatings as well as specialist “clean rooms”, as required by customers in the medical sector.

Commenting on these developments Avi Vermus the Chief Executive Officer of Digitek said " We are now starting to see the results of our efforts over the past year in repositioning Digitek to become an important player in the electronic assembly business. Customers are now recognizing our competitive edge and we are seeing a steady inflow of enquiries ranging from major companies to start ups. "

PeerTV continues to report good progress with mass trials of its advanced Android based eTV solution. The eTV enables broadcast content to be distributed via the internet and downloaded directly onto a normal TV screen. The service also makes websites such as Facebook and YouTube available via television sets, so converging pay TV and the internet.
