STOCKPORT, U.K. -- A Halloween Party to raise funds for children’s charity Action for Sick Children is being held at the High Lane Village Hall in Cheshire on Friday November 1st.
The 8-til-late event is expected to attract scores of ghosts, ghouls and assorted spooks – suitably dressed in Halloween garb – who can dance the night away secure in the knowledge that proceeds are going to a good cause.
A spokesman for Action for Sick Children, speaking from their Disley HQ, said: “This is one of a number of events which play a crucially important role in raising funds for the work of Action for Sick Children, a charity that for the last fifty years, has been on a mission to ensure that healthcare meets the unique needs of children, young people and their families.
Among its many achievements, the charity played a crucial role in enabling parents to regularly visit their children in hospital or stay with them overnight at a time when the practice was frowned upon by many in the medical profession.
