FURLOUGHED WORKERS EAT
FREE NOW -- PAY LATER
( Members of Congress --Pay Double)
.Local restaurant going to bat for furloughed government workers. Sushi-Zen in Arlington VA, refuses payment for food from furloughed workers until after government shutdown is over. Owners are FED UP, DISMAYED, DISAPPOINTED and FRUSTRATED beyond words with Congress and the intense pain the shutdown has caused affected workers and businesses.
Owners, Shoji and Rosie Mochizuki, have lived in the metro area for over 40 years and operated Sushi-Zen for 16 years. Co-Owner Rosie says: "We have seen the devastation this government shut-down has created in our local Washington DC Metro area and across the country. We wanted to do something to support our hardworking government workers. Our offer is to let furloughed workers eat free now and pay later."
Congress still has a paycheck coming in and therefore will pay double until government workers are paid again. For more information contact Rosie Gordon Mochizuki (cell 301-793-7430),
