CLEARWATER, Fla. -- Tom Meehan, a distinguished Clearwater, Florida business owner, celebrating twenty-five successful years of entrepreneurship in December 2013, decided that 2013 was the year of living dangerously when it came to taking on Tampa politicians about the realities of wasteful government spending. Meehan did not challenge anyone to a physical confrontation, but did time and funds to organize a rally to properly disseminate information regarding all wasteful spending practices in city; county; state and federal government spending.
Tom Meehan, a Clearwater, Florida entrepreneur, has committed himself to building well-established and equally well-managed business holdings for nearly 25 years. During that time he has built a positive name for himself as a business owner, job creator and savvy manager of both people and financial assets in and around the region. The expansion of his business footprint in and around the region left Meehan satisfied with the direction his assets were going, but dissatisfied when he would look around and see stories of financial mismanagement in the region and nationally within government. Tom Meehan wanted to do something to bring the concepts of private business to the minds of Floridians as a possible escape from increasingly frightening government ideas. Meehan found his avenue for change in donating both time and funds to organize a rally in Tampa, Florida, the goal of the rally being to bring awareness of ridiculous government spending to the people.

The rally in Tampa, Florida centered on the concept of improving local, county, state and national government spending practices through the introduction common private business practices. Tom Meehan indicated he would like to hold this type of rally all across the nation in the near future, and would jump at the chance to either volunteer or participate.
