ROSEVILLE, CA- (10-12-13) – When the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West roars into Roseville next week it will bring a field of talented drivers before thousands of fans for the Toyota NAPA Auto Parts 150 presented by Ace Hardware and Incredible Solutions. When the checkered flag waves on this grand affair there will be more than just one winner, it will be thousands as this event joins in the fight against Breast Cancer, benefiting the Placer County Breast Cancer Endowment.
By teaming with Bill McAnally Racing Promotions for this NASCAR event, the Placer County Breast Cancer Endowment is expected to near its longtime fundraising goal of 1.5 million dollars. These funds will be donated to fully fund an endowed chair at the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center.
As this event takes place in Breast Cancer Awareness month, $5 from every ticket sold to the October 12 Toyota NAPA Auto Parts 150 will go to Placer Breast Cancer Endowment. The fundraising effort for this great cause extends beyond BMR Promotions, it will be the contributions of everyone involved in this event that is the largest one day event annually in Placer County. It will be the drivers, the teams and most importantly the thousands of dedicated race fans that will be making a difference in the lives of others by attending.
According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in women, exceeded only by lung cancer. These statistics have been declining since 1989 as a result of earlier detection through screening, awareness, improved treatment and research. While progress continues, the fight is far from over. It's organizations like the Placer Breast Cancer Endowment and collaborating fundraising efforts such as the Toyota NAPA Auto Parts 150 that can make a difference.
Saturday's event is an all day affair at the Placer County Fairgrounds that features a full day of activities, vendors and more. It all leads up to the evening of spectacular racing headlined by the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West which has garnered many of today's top NASCAR drivers like Kevin Harvick, Trevor Bayne, Clint Boyer. Martin Truex. Kyle Larson, of Elk Grove, won the 2012 K&N Pro Series East championship and is already a top competitor in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. Larson makes his first ever start in the NASCAR Sprint Cup this Saturday night in Charlotte. Race fans in Roseville will not miss a moment of Larson's career moment as BMR Promotions will have a jumbo vision screen in the midway with a live feed from the Sprint Cup Race in Charlotte.
Joining the roster for Saturday's event will be two time Daytona 500 Champion Michael Waltrip. This will mark Waltrip's second start at All American Speedway as he straps into a NAPA Auto Parts sponsored race car that is one of three teams fielded by Bill McAnally Racing.
Prior to the 150 lap premier race on October 12, the Matt Camp 52/52 sponsored by Penney Racing Supply and A All Mini Storage will bring high dollar late model racing in with an event boasting over $14,000 in overall winnings and awards. All of the door to door action on race day will start with the exciting Legends of the Pacific kicking off the on track competition
It's not too late for race fans to purchase their discount general admission adult tickets that are now on sale for $35. Juniors (ages 6-11) are $15 and children 5 years and under are free.
