As part of a prominent management award in India, two honourable professors from the London Business School’s faculty pool have been named top thinkers.
Academic Director at the London Business School’s Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Professor of Marketing, Rajesh Chandy, and his fellow colleague Nirmalya Kumar, Professor of Marketing, have both been nominated among the major rankings for management thinkers, the Thinkers50 in India.
Having been specially awarded the Thinkers50, India Global Village Award, Professor Kumar, stands out as one of the world’s top Business Strategy (http://www.london.edu/programmes/executiveeducation/strat...) and marketing gurus.
Professor Chandy, also nominated for the Thinkers50, has received various awards on his research in international business, emerging markets and marketing strategy. He is, furthermore, the Tony and Maureen Wheeler Chair in Entrepreneurship at LBS.
The Indian Minister of State for Human Resource Development, Dr Shashsi Tharoor, presented India’s outstanding thinkers with their awards at the ceremony held in Gurgaon, Haryana, eulogizing the academics contribution to improving thought leadership around India and beyond.
He also added: "To create a thriving and sustainable societal ecosystem we need people who have the potential to change the world for the better.”
India, the Thinkers50 project, and the Institute of competitiveness work jointly to bring forward the Thinkers50 initiative. The nominees were appointed based on votes from corporate leaders and fellow academics.
