The book first appeared on the Paranormal Romance list, Fantasy & Futuristic Romance list, and Women's Fictions list at #34, #43, and #83 respectively. It peaked at #13, #16, and #54 on September 20, and was still at #36 on the Paranormal Romance list and #46 on the Fantasy & Futuristic Romance Saturday morning.

The urban fantasy has been described as paranormal chick-lit because of its breezy tone and enjoyable humor. Chicklit Plus said of the novel, "What a fantastic read! I couldn't put it down! I had to keep reading just to see what twist life was going throw out at Angela next!"
