New York, CA – Sacred Heart Collection’s runway debut during New York Fashion Week unveiled feminine silhouettes, touches of gold, and sherbet-colored tones for Spring 2014 at the Designers Collective Show on September 7, 2013. The focus was on the back, as dresses and pant-suits featured back detailing that included inter-woven fabric lacing, criss-crossed straps, gladiator-style sequined strips, cut-outs, and rounded scoops. The dresses, ranging from full-skirted, light-and-airy silk pieces, to fitted, body-conscious styles, embodied the designer’s vision of effortless going-out chic.

With its mix of rock-and-roll glam and classic elegance, Sacred Heart Collections has already found favor with celebrities, most recently worn by Kimberly Cole, Meagan Good, Keyshia Cole, R & B singer Ashanti, Miss Universe, and Reality Star Laura Govan. A graduate of Parsons, Brandi Russell, designer of Sacred Heart Collections has worked for Alice Roi, Liz Claiborne, Yanuk, and other brands, before starting her own line in 2008. Catering primarily to young professional women looking for something different to wear at social occasions, Sacred Heart Collections provides affordable, easy-to-wear styles. “I want to create pieces that you can’t find everywhere, that will make a girl feel different when she puts them on. Sacred Heart is about pieces that are ‘sacred’ to a girl’s ‘closet’, that she will always love,” says designer Brandi Russell. “I want these to be dresses that the girls will wear to create memories in,” she continues.
