New book offers amusingly relatable stories of one woman’s dating experiences

MELBOURNE, Australia – In “The G.F. List: One Woman, With a List of Men, Answering the Question Singles Hate” (ISBN 1482751119), author Sharyn Atkinson shares her roller coaster-like romantic life in an effort to show women that they’re not alone in the dating world.

Documenting Atkinson’s romantic experiences over the past 12 years, “The G.F. List” tells honest, light-hearted stories of hope, loss, deception, discovery and love. Sharing the stories of an average single woman, the book trades in expert advice for endearing stories that highlight the struggles, hijinks and benefits of being a single woman in today’s society.

Striving to share honest, relatable and disarming accounts of trying to find “the one” in what seems to be a never-ending sea of “not quite,” Atkinson’s main goal is to have readers nodding along in understanding and taking comfort in knowing someone else is also still searching for Mr. Right.

Recognizing that people tend to find relationships difficult in one way or another, Atkinson began writing “The G.F. List” as a way for people to relate to her experiences as a single girl in Melbourne. Determined to make readers laugh and cry along with her, Atkinson wants to ensure no one ever gives up hope or settles for a semi-satisfying man. Aiming to share her sense of resiliency, she works to keep readers hopeful that their perfect match is right around the corner.

What began as a journal of a few bad dates quickly turned into something more when those who read Atkinson’s stories began to relate to her experiences. Soon morphing into “The G.F. List,” her journal incorporated all of the funny and sad events that she’s experienced as a single woman in Melbourne.

“The G.F. List: One Woman, With a List of Men, Answering the Question Singles Hate” is available for sale online at Amazon.com and other channels.
