B&G Supports Royal Lymington Yacht Club

ROMSEY, U.K. -- Romsey, UK - B&G, leader in marine electronics, tactical software and instruments for sailing, is delighted to announce that it is to support Royal Lymington Yacht Club, as official Navigation and Instrumentation partner.

B&G will provide a collection of the latest on-water electronics to the club, fitting out four RIBs and the club’s Cheetah Race Committee boat with equipment including award-winning Zeus chartplotter/multifunction displays and Triton instrument displays.

Chris Neve, Rear Commodore Sailing of Royal Lymington Yacht Club said: “We are very pleased that B&G has come onboard to support the club; members and visiting sailors alike will benefit greatly from having B&G equipment on our support RIBs and committee boat."

“Every year, we run more than 200 days of organised sailing events, and start over 400 races. The support from B&G will mean we can set marks more accurately, plan routes for races quickly and provide the best level of safety and service on the water. B&G has a great reputation for quality, accuracy and durability, and that’s exactly what a busy club with over 2,500 members, like ours, needs!”

B&G created its first range of products in Lymington in 1955, and to this day is the most famous sailing-specific marine electronics brand in the world, dedicated to providing navigation systems, instrumentation and tactical software that has been designed for sailors, by sailors. Born in the same waters, the Royal Lymington Yacht Club began life in 1922 and has grown at an unprecedented rate, receiving an array of awards and honours, including the patronage of HRH, The Princess Royal.

Alan Davis, Product Line Director for B&G said: “Royal Lymington Yacht Club is at the heart of where B&G began and we’re very proud to be linked to our roots. From providing instrumentation to club racers and day cruisers to guiding Vendee Globe and Volvo Ocean Race winners, every sailor will have used, or will use, B&G equipment at some point in their lives and this all began in Lymington.

“Supporting fantastic clubs, that encourage sailing at all levels, is just one way B&G aims to help our amazing sport continue to go from strength to strength – and we’re proud to be there all the way.”
