NORFOLK, Va. -- Clark Nexsen is pleased to announce that Peter Skaredoff, PE, CEM, CPD, LEED AP BD+C, in the Norfolk office recently passed the Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD) exam. Peter has 14 years of experience in the design and management of public and private residential, commercial, and industrial projects, serving as an engineer and project manager.
As a senior mechanical engineer, Peter is the lead mechanical engineer on military, municipal, and higher education projects with a developing focus on energy systems. Peter is the Norfolk mechanical department team leader and is responsible for the overall quality and coordination of the design work completed by his team of engineers.
Peter’s experience includes conversion of the battleship, USS Wisconsin, to a floating museum for use by the City of Norfolk, NAVFAC MIDLANT GIS Utilities Data Development in multiple locations, Duke Hall Renovation & Addition at James Madison University, Camp Lejeune Hospital Renovation, and the Norfolk Consolidated Courthouse, currently under construction.
The Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) program is an international certification program for engineers and designers of plumbing systems. The certification program provides the profession, the plumbing industry, and the general public with a single, comprehensive qualification of professional competence for engineers and designers of plumbing systems.
Peter met the eligibility requirements needed to take the CPD examination by having more than four years of experience in a position of responsibility for the design of plumbing systems and possessing of a baccalaureate degree in a field related to engineering.
He received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Master of Business Administration from Marquette University and a Master of Engineering in Modeling and Simulation from Old Dominion University.
Peter is the current president of the Tidewater Chapter of the Virginia Society of Professional Engineers (http://vspe.org/) (VSPE) and a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers (http://www.nspe.org/) (NSPE). He is also a member of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (https://www.asme.org/) (ASME), American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (https://www.ashrae.org/) (ASHRAE), and the Association of Energy Engineers (http://www.aeecenter.org/) (AEE).
